Hema Malini

This Friday’s release, Baabul, sees a gorgeous looking Hema Malini take centrestage. The actress does not look like the 58-year-old woman that she is.

And Bollywood has quite a few actresses, who still look radiant and stunning, though they are well past 50.

She redefined beauty, post 50.

In her comeback film, Baghban, Hema Malini looked so gorgeous that she shone over the younger crop of actresses (Mahima Chaudhry, Rimi Sen, Divya Dutta and Suman Ranganathan).
Three years later, Hema cuts the same dazzling look in Baabul.
Hema Malini, the dream girl of the seventies, hailing from the South, started her career with 'Sapno Ka Saudagar' (1968). Initially she did a few trivial films, then her outstanding performance in 'Seeta Aur Geeta’(1972) established her as the queen of the box-office. With her captivating beauty and tinkling laugh Hema, soon became the heartthrob of the masses in the late seventies and early eighties. An excellent Bharat Natyam dancer, wife to Dharmendra, one of Bollywood's biggest stars, she eventually shifted from acting to direction to television to stage dance shows. In 2000, she was awarded the 'Padma Shri' by the government of India. After a long break, she has recently made a comeback to films. Very ambitious, Hema has always lead her life her way, and this still gorgeous actress in her fifties is busy with politics, social work and of course films.

Hema Malini is finally back on television as a producer with the serial Maati ki Banno. She had been gearing up for this since sometime now and there had been a lot of speculations about the show — like was it based on the movie Sarkar Raj or would she cast her daughter Esha Deol in her serial?.
Lucknow: In a bid to attract star-stuck moviebuffs, firecrackers manufacturers have named their products after popular Bollywood actors like Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan and yesteryears actress Hema Malini. They have also come up with an "eco-friendly" version of crackers which will let people enjoy Diwali without worrying about the harmful effects on the nature or children.

The wait is finally over and this month we will all get to see Hema Malini's TV production. The show starring Manoj Chandila and Via Roy Choudhury as the lead pair, is expected to go on air mid-November.

After completing a 10-day outdoor shoot in Mauritius the television show's team is back shooting in Mumbai, say our sources. Hema Malini was unavailable for comment. The dream girl of the Hindi film industry is busy wrapping up her directorial venture with Esha, Tell me Oh Khuda.

Interestingly, the backdrop of this serial is a small town in Bihar, Chapra and revolves around a mother and her son, faced with adverse circumstances
